OUR SUSTAINABLE INITIATIVES

GUEST ROOMS

Plastic-Free and Eco-Friendly Amenities

• Use of refillable glass bottles for water.

• Refillable pump dispensers for wet amenities like shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, hand wash, and lotion.

• Elimination of single-use plastics for dry amenities (e.g., dental kits, vanity kits, bedroom slippers) and for consumables such as tea, coffee, and sugar.

• Paper towels, facial tissues, and toilet paper are eco-certified.

• Trash linens are made from biodegradable materials.

Linen and Towel Reuse

• DND (Do Not Disturb) option allows guests to skip room cleaning to conserve resources.

• Signage encourages reusing bath towels and avoiding unnecessary linen changes during multi-night stays.

Energy Conservation

• Air-conditioning is preset to 24°C, on cool mode, with low fan speed, with flexibility for guest preferences.

• Selective lighting: Only essential lights are turned on for ambiance upon guest arrival, minimizing energy use.

For superior, deluxe, and executive rooms, only headboard, vanity, and shower lights remain illuminated.

For executive suites, a few key lights (living room, walk-in closet, bedroom ceiling, vanity, and shower lights) are strategically left on.

Digital Receipts

• Guests are encouraged to receive invoices via email instead of printed copies, unless specifically requested.

Food Waste Reduction

• Buffet areas display food waste signage to encourage guests to take only what they can consume.

• Food waste is measured and managed through a structured waste management plan.

• Untouched breakfast food is donated to the Philippine Red Cross.

• Meeting rooms’ AC is set to 24°C and turned on only 1 hour before events.

• Lights and AC are switched off when meeting rooms are not in use.

Paper Reduction in Banquet Operations

• Reusable flip charts with washable toppers reduce paper waste.

• Candy jars are used instead of single-use items.

• Electronic LED signages replace printed event signs.

• Smaller pads and pencils with QR codes reduce paper consumption by 50%.

• No paper glass covers; pitchers are used to minimize waste.

• Paperless receipts and online access to event orders minimize printing.

• Eco-friendly printing using scratch paper for reports.

• Menus are digitized, with QR codes and iPads replacing printed menus.

Procurement and Supplies

• The procurement team prioritizes suppliers with sustainability or eco-certification and avoids purchasing endangered plants, animals, or archaeological artifacts.

• Eco-certified printing paper is used throughout both back and front of the house.

• 75% of cleaning products are eco-certified.

Waste and Resource Management

• Proper waste segregation with clear signages for staff understanding.

• Scratch paper reuse is encouraged in back-office areas.

• The establishment operates its own water bottling station to supply the entire hotel.

• 75% of lighting in the property is energy-efficient LED.

• The Talent & Culture and Sustainability Committee encourages staff participation in environmental activities (e.g., clean-up drives, Earth Hour).

• Signages guide guests to designated smoking areas.

• Lobby signage reminds guests not to idle car engines for over 2 minutes to reduce emissions.
